CAMP LIFE:

• Boating - A canoe and  2 aluminum boats (1 is licensed for a small motor if you care to bring one) are available for your use.  Oars, paddles, life vests are in the lighthouse.   Please return items to the lighthouse when not in use.  A life vest for each individual (not just a cushion) is required irregardless of the boat you use.  If you use a boat please return it to its original location before you leave.

• Books - Enjoy, but please put them back when finished.

• Capacity -10-12 people based on available sleeping accommodations.

• Check In Time - is 4:00 pm.

• Check Out Time - is 11:00 am.

• Cleaning – Please leave the camp as clean as you would like it to be found.  This would include vacuuming, cleaning out the refrigerator, cleaning the kitchen, cleaning the bathrooms....  A cleaning/phone deposit is required and will be refunded provided all is in order, after your stay.  If you would prefer to have someone else take on the responsibility of cleaning, you can pre-arrange to have the cleaning done for you. 

• Ducks- We love them! But please do not feed them from the dock. We like them to be wild and not take up residence on the dock!

• Fishing and Hunting - VT state regulations....

• Foot wash - Use the hose by the back door on the back deck and the sliding glass door in front.  It really helps in keeping sand out of the camp and you will be really happy when it comes time for clean up!.

• Garbage - Please place all garbage by the dinghy (white upside down boat) in the parking area by 10 am on Friday for pick up. Also please use the large black contractor liner bags in the pails as we are charged by the bag for disposal. If you forget to do this, it will be your responsibility to dispose of it.

• Lake Music - The surround sound from the lake only, is expected after 10 PM.

• Paper towels, toilet paper and napkins provided as starter sets only - Toilets - Toilet paper only please (no manufactured products).

• Pets - Well behaved and friendly pets are allowed upon owner approval. Please clean up after your pet, to include hair (vacuuming). Also, please keep your pets in the confines of the yard. We have gone to the system of surrounding the property with electronic wire, when we are there, to keep our pets within our boundaries, as we do have neighbors, whose property, privacy and safety must be respected.

• Property- Our property is from the fence to the west, to the stream (lagoon) to the east (the camp faces to the south).

• Telephone - Please use your telephone card for all toll and long distance calls.  Local calls only include Groton, Marshfield, Barre, Ryegate, Wells River and Woodsville, NH.  A cleaning/phone deposit is required and will be refunded by mail, provided all is well.  

• W. Cold Water Brook Road- Please use it considerately, watching out for children….(we now have permission from our neighbors) at not more than 5mph.  DO NOT use Spoor Road, it is under renovation!! 

• Wet towels- Please use the drying racks on the back deck. 

Rental cost 2008: $1000.00 per week (last week in June-August + Vermont Rooms & Meals Tax of 9%.  Rent is $850 per week September-June + VT Room and Meals Tax.  Half of the rental payment ($645) is required to secure your reservation and 2nd half is due April 30th for summer rentals. Also a $200.00 cleaning/phone call deposit is required at the time of reservation and refundable by mail, provided everything has been left as clean as you found it and once the phone bill is checked. Checks should be made out to: "Spoor Camp".  The week begins at 4:00 P.M. Saturday and ends at 11:00 A.M. the following Saturday.  We begin taking new reservations once returning guests have been accommodated.. Any time slots not reserved can be rented out at up to $250.00 per day depending on occupancy (2 day minimum) (please call for rates). 

Rental cost Summer 2009: $1500 per week + Vermont Rooms & Meals Tax of 9%.

 

Rental priorities: The Spoor's have first priority (usually July 4th week and last week in August) and then previous year's renters. The 2nd choice goes to previous year's renters  who want a different week (s). The 3rd choices go to new renters for the remaining time slots available.
